(1) All components and bodies of the 2 MVA step down power transformer must be securely fixed.
(2) Electrical connections must be in good condition; The connection between aluminum conductors and transformers should use copper aluminum transition joints.
(3) A 2 MVA step down power transformer is typically shared by the neutral point of the low-voltage winding, the casing, and the valve type lightning arrester. The grounding must be reliable, and the grounding wire should have a disconnectable connection point.
(4) There must be no flammable materials in front of the explosion-proof exhaust port of the transformer.
(5) The doors of the underground transformer room, the doors between the transformer room and the distribution equipment room, and the doors between the transformer rooms must be fireproof doors.
(6) The single capacity of oil immersed transformers installed in residential buildings shall not exceed 400 kVA.
(7) The distance from the shell of the 2 MVA step down power transformer to the door should not be less than 1 meter, and the distance to the wall should not be less than 0.8 meters (or 1.2 meters when equipped with an operation switch).
(8) When using natural ventilation, the floor of the transformer room should be 1.1 meters higher than the outdoor floor.
(9) Outdoor step-down transformers with a capacity not exceeding 315 kVA can be installed on poles, while those with a capacity exceeding 315 kVA should be installed on platforms. Both the primary and secondary leads should use insulated wires. The bottom of the pole type transformer should be at least 2.5 meters above the ground, and the exposed wires should be at least 3.5 meters above the ground. The height of the transformer platform should generally not be less than 0.5 meters, the height of the enclosure should not be less than 1.7 meters, the distance between the transformer casing and the enclosure should not be less than 1 meter, and the distance between the transformer operating surface and the enclosure should not be less than 2 meters.
(10) There should be clear "Stop, High Voltage Danger!" signs on the doors and enclosures of the 2 MVA step down power transformer room.
